There are three separate divisions at the NFL Flag Regionals:
- Coed Elite Division
The Coed Elite Division is for highly competitive, handpicked All-Star teams looking to build the strongest roster possible.
Age groups: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U - Recreation Division
This division is designed for teams that may not be at the elite level. Eligible teams are typically affiliated with organizations such as Boys & Girls Club, Police Athletic League (PAL), YMCA, and Parks & Recreation programs. - All-Girls Division
This division is exclusively for girls and includes the following age groups: 10U, 12U, 14U, 17U.
There is only one division per age group, with no separation between Elite and Recreation levels.
League Age Determination
The new age cutoff date is August 1, 2024 (instead of January 1, 2025). This means a player’s age as of July 31, 2024 will determine their age division.
This updated cutoff is a new rule from NFL Flag headquarters.
Example:
- If your child turns 10 on July 31, 2024, they will play in the 10U division.
- If your child turns 10 on August 1, 2024 or later, they will be eligible for the 9U division.
